Picture:Johan Show all articles The womanWhen God according to the Bible had created all the animals and then the man, he wanted to find a helper for the man. God did not find it among the animals and he had to create a new person. A woman. The woman was a suitable companion for the man. For Adam. The Chinese character that has the meaning SUITABLE consists of two parts. One part is a woman and the other part is a hand coming down from above. Could this hand be the hand of God finding a suitable helper for Adam? This Chinese character also has the meaning COMPLETED. When God had created Eve the creation was completed. Is it possible that this character could have been made because the Chinese knew the story of Adam and Eve? Immediately after the Bible has described the creation of Eve the serpant is coming and tempting Eve to the two trees in the midst of the garden. What has been happening here in between we do not know. The Bible says nothing about it. The woman is now standing beside the tree of knowledge of good and evil and is looking at it. There she gets desire to eat of the fruit of the tree. We have this story written down in the third character. The character has the meaning DESIRE and consists of a woman and two trees. We know what happens next. Eve eats the fruit of the forbidden tree. She also gives to Adam who is with her and he eats as well. The first two persons have sinned and the consequences of their sin has affected the whole future of mankind. All of their children and grandchildren. Yes, even you and me. After this God is talking with Adam and Eve. He has bad news but also good news. The best news is that the seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent. Can this God's promise of a woman who will have a son have become everything the people was waiting for after this? The son or the seed has a special place in the Chinese characters and I believe this really could have been the case for the Chinese. Here I just take one character as an example which is one of the most common chinese characters. The character has the meaning GOOD and is used in Chinese people's way of greeting each other. Is this character only a description that it is good for a woman to have a son or that it is good for a child to be with his mother? Or could this character have a deeper meaning of that what was God's answer to the last written words Eve said throughout her life: "The serpent deceived me, and I ate"? Amazingly all of these four Chinese characters look like they did 3000-4000 years ago. We can still find the story of Eve in the characters of today. Is this a coinsidence or could it be that one of the oldest cultures of the world today has something to tell. About our history. About the origin of the mankind. | ||
